QA gate

The code checks and AI editor review every draft must pass before it can be published, and what happens when it fails.

The QA gate decides whether a draft may go live. It runs code checks (reading grade, em dashes, banned phrases, keyword placement, TL;DR, images, alt text, CTA, links and more) and an AI editor review that scores 8 areas out of 40. A draft passes only with no critical fail, a total score at or above your minimum (default 32), and no area below 3. A fail goes back to the writer, up to 3 times by default, then the ticket moves to Needs human.

Code checks

Code checks are measured, not guessed. Critical checks fail the draft on their own. Warnings go to the writer as advice.

AI editor review

An AI editor reads the brief (the contract), the draft, the code check results, your business profile and your live product pages. It scores 8 areas from 0 to 5:

Area What it judges
intent Matches the search intent and answers fast
structure TL;DR, answer-first block, headings, useful FAQ
voice Simple words, short paragraphs, no AI filler or hype
seo Keyword placement, headings, internal links, meta
accuracy Product facts match the approved facts
sources Third-party claims are fair or linked
assets Images, alt text, schema, CTA
readiness Clean Markdown, no placeholders

Any claim about your business that is not in the approved facts is a critical fail. The editor also compares your approved facts with your live product pages. If they disagree on prices, limits or plans, it fails the draft and tells you to update the approved facts in Settings.

Things only a person can do go into Manual follow-ups. They never block publishing.

Pass rule

PASS = no critical fail
AND total score >= Min QA score (default 32 of 40)
   AND no area below 3

What happens on a fail

  1. The writer gets the draft and the required fixes and writes a new version.
  2. QA checks the new version.
  3. This repeats up to Max rewrites before a human looks (default 3), so up to 4 drafts in total.
  4. If the last draft fails, the ticket moves to Needs human with a message such as "QA failed 4 times (last score 28/40). Read the QA report, add a lesson, and retry."

Fix a Needs human ticket

  1. Open the ticket and read the QA report: critical fails, required fixes and area scores.
  2. Decide the cause. Often it is a missing product fact, a missing CTA, or a rule that is too strict for this topic.
  3. Fix the cause: update Settings > Business profile, add a lesson in Teach the agents, or edit the brief.
  4. Click Rewrite and QA again. Or, if you only changed settings, click Run QA again to check the current draft without a rewrite.

Banned phrases, approved facts, prohibited claims and documentation pages live in Settings > Business profile.

Tip: Click Check facts against my website in the Business profile card. It compares your approved facts with your live pricing and documentation pages. Outdated facts give wrong articles.
