Content impact

After a page goes live, see whether ChatGPT and Gemini now name or cite your site for the questions it answers.

Publishing is only half the job. Content impact shows whether the page worked: after it went live, do the AI assistants now name or cite your site when people ask the questions it answers?

Reading the page

Each published page has a card with:

  • The live date and a link to the page and its ticket.
  • A row for every AI prompt the page answers.

For each prompt, the table shows:

  • Before the page went live: the latest answers from before the publish date.
  • Since it went live: the latest answers since then.
  • Status:
    • Showing up in answers: named or cited in at least half of the runs.
    • Not showing yet: checked since going live, but not visible enough.
    • Waiting for the next check: not checked since the page went live.

Prompts that are showing up are listed first.

The summary

The three tiles at the top show the number of pages live, the number of prompts those pages answer, and how many of the checked prompts now show your site.

What to do with "Not showing yet"

AI assistants take days, sometimes weeks, to pick up a new page. Give it time before you act. If a page still does not show after a few weeks:

  1. Open the page and check that it answers the prompt directly, near the top, in plain words.
  2. Check that the page has specific facts, not general claims.
  3. Use Check now on the prompt in Insights to see the latest answers.
  4. Create a refresh ticket from the prompt if the page needs a stronger answer.

Note: Pages published before prompt checks started show no before numbers.
