Words we use

What the words in the app mean, in plain English. Read this first if SEO is new to you.

The app uses some search and AI words. Here is what each one means, in plain English.

The basics

  • Keyword: the words people type into Google when they look for something. Example: "payroll software for small business".
  • Article plan: the list of articles the app wants to write, with each one's stage, from idea to published.
  • Ready: an article that has passed the automatic checks and waits for you to approve it.
  • Needs a human: the app could not finish an article after several tries. Open it, read the notes, and fix what they point out.
  • Call to action: the line that asks the reader to do something next, such as signing up. Every article needs one.
  • TL;DR: a short summary at the top of an article, so the reader gets the answer first.

Google

  • Ranking: where your page appears in Google's results. Position 1 is the top.
  • Impressions: how many times your page was shown in results.
  • Clicks: how many times people clicked your page from those results.
  • CTR (click-through rate): the share of impressions that became clicks.
  • Indexed: Google has stored your page, so it can show it. A page that is not indexed cannot appear in results.
  • Technical problem: something that stops Google from reading or storing a page, such as a block in the site's robots.txt file. Developers fix these.

AI answers

  • Prompt: a question a buyer types into ChatGPT or Gemini, such as "best payroll software for a 20-person team".
  • Named: the AI answer mentions your business by name.
  • Cited: the AI answer links to your website as a source.
  • Mention rate: the share of repeated checks in which the AI named your business. One answer tells you little, so the app asks each prompt several times.

Results and money

  • Conversion: a visitor does what you want, such as signing up or booking a call.
  • Auto-publish: the article goes live on your website without you clicking Publish. It is off until you connect a website.
  • AI budget: a cap on how much AI work your site can use each week and each month. AgenticSEO sets it. When it is reached, the AI work waits until the next period.
